For everyone in the web industry in Toronto this week, you would know that their have been a great amount of events occuring. Drupalcamp, Barcamp, and the Mesh Conference. While at Barcamp on Saturday I realized something… what I get out of conferences and related events isn’t so much the information that is told at the events, but the ideas that I generate when attending them. Most ideas and thoughts have little to do with what the speaker or seminar is about, however something in that speach triggers parts of the left brain that generate great thoughts.
I am not alone in this – as I left barcamp with Peter, we both had to go for a sit and write down all the thoughts in our heads, they were consuming us. I’m sure most people feel the same way.
This industry is ever so fascinating and constantly changing, I strongly encourage anyone to get out their, network and listen to what people have to say… what do you have to lose?
