Overview
Spinopsys is a website about cycling. Written by a Canadian living in Australia (which, by the way, is most Canadian’s dream), the site covers the social, sporting, and technical aspects of riding a bike. Visit the site at www.spinopsys.com
What we did
Design and development, including creation of customized WordPress plugins. One of the weak points of blogging is the short life span of posts. They appear on the home page for a couple of days, then they’re relegated to the dungeon of a site’s archives. It’s such a waste - how many millions of brilliant blog posts will never see the light of day again? For Spinopsys, we developed a custom plugin that randomly selects from a group of posts, and presents the selection in a grid right at the top of the page. Analysis of the site’s statistics shows that readers stay on this site longer than average, and view more pages than average - both facts support the effectiveness of this approach.
Outcome
A very strong initial showing of support has grown into a large and growing base of daily readers.
