Journey of Hope
Overview
The Journey of Hope is an exhibit telling the story of Shanghai’s jewish population. The Journey of Hope website extends the exhibit, featuring most of the exhibit content, a resources section, and a guest book.
What we did
Design, development. This project is built to web standards, and runs on a modified WordPress install. The design of this project took its lead from the items on display in the exhibit. Passport elements are used as a decorative pattern throughout the site. Photography from the exhibit is also used throughout. The guest book is the heart of the site. A powerful search function was developed to allow guest book entries to be searched for long lost friends or family.
Outcome
The Journey of Hope exhibit is currently on tour around the world. An interactive kiosk located inside Shanghai’s remaining synagogue is planned for the near future.
