The do it all online music service Spotify launched in the US today. Since I first checked out Spotify courtesy of a friend from London a few months back, I’ve been keeping tabs on when it would finally make it to North America.

For the last few days the tech press has been in a tizzy because Facebook scheduled a live press conference, to reveal, in their words “Something Awesome”. The presser was streamed via the Facebook Live page, which has more than a million “Likes”.

A trend has been been making itself apparent to me lately: people seem to love doing things the hard way.
